Our CPG client is seeking a temporary freelance Brand Manager to join their team for the next 1-3 months. This is a remote role and hours will fluctuate between 20-40 per week. This Brand Manager will own brand strategy, product positioning, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales, and trade teams to deliver measurable business results within the CPG and retail channels.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive brand strategies and annual marketing plans to achieve sales, share, and profitability targets across SKUs and channels.Ad hoc analyses based on sales and insights requests.Reviewing SKU updates, reviewing artwork and proofs.Forecasting new product introduction and working with operations to determine product supply and with sales to determine sell in and distribution.Bring products through a stage-gate process. Manage the product lifecycle for assigned SKUs, including new product launches, packaging updates, and SKU rationalization.Lead cross-functional project teams (marketing, R&D, supply chain, finance) to deliver campaigns, promotions, and new product launches on time and on budget.Monitor and report on brand performance using sales, margin, and market-share metrics; recommend corrective actions and optimization strategies.Qualifications4+ years experience in brand management within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or retail, or equivalent experience as an Associate Brand Manager progressing to Brand Manager.Proven experience working with Nielsen and retail syndicated data to extract insights and drive commercial decisions.Strong experience managing multiple SKUs, product launches, and lifecycle initiatives.Familiarity with the stage-gate process.
