Upserve is rebuilding the restaurant POS platform for independent full-service restaurants.Restaurants today are navigating rising labor costs, staffing shortages, operational complexity,and increasing pressure from fragmented technology systems. Generic retail POS systems arenot built for the realities of hospitality operations. Upserve helps independent restaurants improve service, increase revenue per table, and run more efficient operations through restaurant-native POS, payments, reporting, guest intelligence, and operational workflows designed specifically for hospitality. We are rebuilding our go-to-market organization with a focus on operational excellence, measurable pipeline generation, differentiated category positioning, and scalable growth.The Role:Upserve is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to build and scale the company’s contentengine across demand generation, product marketing, customer storytelling, SEO, and brandpositioning.This role is responsible for creating compelling, high-performing content that:Generates pipeline, supports sales conversations, strengthens brand credibility, and helps restaurant operators understand the business value of Upserve.The Ideal Candidate Combines:● Strong B2B SaaS content marketing experience,● Excellent storytelling ability,● Operational discipline,● Genuine curiosity about restaurant operations and hospitality technologyWhat You’ll Own:Content Strategy & Editorial Planning● Build and manage Upserve’s content calendar across blog content, SEO pages, case studies, email campaigns, sales enablement, and social content.● Develop content themes tied to restaurant operations, POS switching, labor efficiency, guest experience, and restaurant profitability.● Align content strategy with pipeline generation, product launches and GTM priorities, and SEO & Demand Generation Content● Create and optimize high-intent SEO content including "POS alternative”, “best restaurant POS”, “restaurant labor management”, “restaurant analytics” and local-market search pages.● Partner with Marketing and RevOps to improve organic traffic, conversion rates, inbound lead generation and help build a scalable long-term organic acquisition engine.● Build content for nurture campaigns, customer lifecycle communication, upsell campaigns, newsletters, and webinar follow-up.● Support activation of marketing automation and nurture workflows● Help shape the “Upserve 2.0” market narrative● Develop content around independent restaurant success, operational efficiency, data ownership, hospitality technology trends, and restaurant economics● Support PR, trade media, webinars, and executive thought leadership initiatives● Partnering closely with Sales, Product Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, and agency partners● Gather insights from call reviews, customer feedback, win/loss analysis, and restaurant operator conversationsWhat Success Looks Like:Within the first 6–12 months, this leader will:● Build a consistent, scalable content production engine● Improve organic traffic and inbound conversion● Launch strong restaurant-focused case studies and proof assets● Improve sales enablement content quality and consistency● Support measurable pipeline contribution from content and SEO● Help establish a differentiated restaurant operations narrative in the market● Improve engagement across owned marketing channelsQualifications:● 4–7+ years of content marketing, product marketing, or demand generation contentexperience● Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills● Experience creating content for B2B SaaS or technology companies● Strong understanding of SEO, demand generation, and conversion-oriented content● Experience managing editorial calendars and content production workflows● Ability to simplify complex operational or technical concepts into clear business value● Restaurant technology, hospitality tech, POS, fintech, payments, or SMB SaaSexperience● Experience supporting sales-led GTM organizations● Familiarity with: Salesforce, Google Analytics, and modern content workflows● Experience creating customer case studies, webinar content, and sales enablement materialsIdeal Candidate Profile:The strongest candidates will combine strong storytelling with business and operational thinking, thrive in fast-moving environments, and understand how content drives both brand and pipeline.We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys learning about restaurant operations, can create content operators actually want to read, and understands how to support both Marketing and Sales through high-quality content execution. This is not a “content for content’s sake” role.This role is focused on pipeline, positioning, customer proof, and measurable GTM impact.Compensation and Benefits:$120,000 - $140,000 base salary (DOE)Health insurance, 401k, PTO, etc.Disclaimer: Responsibilities may evolve as Upserve grows—flexibility is key.
