Director of Product Marketing AI Security Location: United States Salary: Circa $200,000 - $250,000k OTE We are seeking a Technical Product Marketing Director / Manager to build and lead Product Marketing from the ground up at a fast-growing AI security company. This is a foundational role responsible for defining positioning, shaping go-to-market strategy, enabling sales, and translating complex AI and security capabilities into compelling customer value.You will operate at both strategic and execution levels—owning messaging, launching products, driving market adoption, and establishing the systems, processes, and content that scale revenue.This role is ideal for a builder who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys deep technical engagement, and wants to define the voice of a category-defining product in AI security.What You’ll DoBuild the Product Marketing FunctionEstablish the product marketing discipline, processes, and operating cadence from scratchDefine positioning, messaging, and value propositions across products and customer segmentsDevelop the company’s product narrative and category storyCreate and maintain core messaging frameworks and competitive differentiationOwn Go-to-Market StrategyLead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches and feature releasesPartner with Product, Sales, and Leadership to align roadmap with market opportunitiesDefine target personas, use cases, and buying journeysDrive adoption, pipeline generation, and product usage through strategic campaignsTranslate Technical Capabilities into Customer ValueConvert complex AI and security functionality into clear, differentiated messagingDevelop technical content including:Product positioning and solution briefsArchitecture diagrams and technical documentationWhitepapers and technical blogsDemo narratives and use-case storytellingEnable Sales and Revenue TeamsBuild and maintain sales enablement assets, including:Pitch decksBattlecardsCompetitive intelligenceROI and value messagingTrain sales teams on messaging, positioning, and product capabilitiesSupport strategic deals and customer conversations when neededOwn Market and Competitive IntelligenceMonitor the competitive landscape across AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise security platformsIdentify market trends, customer needs, and emerging threatsInform product and leadership decisions with actionable insightsDrive Thought Leadership and Category DevelopmentHelp define the company’s category positioning in AI securitySupport executive visibility through technical content and messagingCollaborate on analyst relations, conference messaging, and industry positioningWho You Are10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, or Technical MarketingExperience marketing technical products in one or more of the following:AI / Machine Learning OR Cybersecurity Experience (Ideal industries are AI Security, DLP or SASE)Demonstrated experience building or scaling product marketing in a startup or high-growth environmentStrong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business valueExperience leading product launches and go-to-market initiativesExcellent written and verbal communication skills*Follow Scout Global for more roles like this*
