Director of Trade MarketingWe are seeking a strategic, analytical, and commercially driven Director of Trade Marketing to own and lead customer and channel marketing initiatives across mass, club, food, and specialty retail channels. This role will be responsible for driving sell-through performance, building retailer-specific growth strategies, and translating data into actionable marketing programs that accelerate retail expansion.The ideal candidate has deep experience across multiple retail channels including mass retailers (Walmart, Target), food/grocery, club, and specialty retailers. This person will serve as the bridge between Sales, Marketing, and Insights, owning the development of retailer selling stories, trade marketing plans, and channel activation strategies that drive both sell-in and sell-out performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the trade marketing strategy across key retail channels including mass, food, club, and specialty retail.Develop compelling retailer selling stories using purchasing data, velocity trends, category insights, and shopper behavior.Translate sales and category performance data into actionable channel marketing plans that drive retail growth and improve sell-through.Lead the development and execution of customer-specific trade marketing programs and promotional strategies.Manage retail activation plans across digital and traditional shopper marketing channels, including retail media platforms (Roundel, Walmart Connect, Ibotta, etc.), promotions, coupons, and in-store marketing.Analyze sell-in versus sell-out performance and adjust channel strategies based on business trends and retailer performance.Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Finance, and Insights teams to align retail growth strategies and commercial priorities.Support new retail launches, promotional planning, retailer presentations, and customer-specific business reviews.Identify opportunities to improve channel productivity, retail visibility, and category performance across accounts.Serve as the internal expert on retailer trends, shopper behavior, and channel dynamics.Qualifications8+ years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, customer marketing, or channel marketing within CPG, wellness, health, beauty, supplements, or related categories.Experience owning trade marketing initiatives across multiple retail channels including mass, club, food, and specialty retail.Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting purchasing data, velocities, category trends, and shopper insights to inform marketing strategy.Experience building retailer-specific selling stories and translating data into compelling commercial narratives.Hands-on experience with retail media, shopper marketing, omnichannel activation, and promotional planning.Experience supporting brands transitioning from DTC to retail strongly preferred.Familiarity with health, wellness, VMS, supplements, beauty, or adjacent FMCG categories preferred.Proven success launching brands or products into new retail accounts and scaling retail distribution.Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.Compensation: The expected base salary range for this role is $150,000–$180,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
