This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a marketing professional who thrives at the intersection of brand strategy and local market execution. You will be the face of our whiskey brands in key markets — building trade relationships, driving consumer trial, and translating national brand strategies into locally relevant, revenue-generating programs.Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Activation & EventsDevelop and execute local field marketing plans aligned to national brand strategyPlan and lead consumer-facing events, tastings, sponsorships, and experiential activations that drive trial, awareness, and brand affinityRepresent the brand at trade shows, consumer festivals, and retailer/distributor eventsBuild and manage a calendar of activations across on-premise (bars, restaurants) and off-premise (retail) accountsTrade & Distributor EngagementPartner closely with distributor partners and the GADABOUT Agency team to identify high-opportunity accounts and execute joint business plansTrain and educate distributor reps, sales agency partners, bar staff, and retail teams on the brand — brand story, liquid quality, and key selling pointsBuild strong relationships with key on-premise accounts, including whiskey bars, craft cocktail programs, and premium diningSupport retail programming including shelf placement, point-of-sale execution, and in-store tasting eventsInsights & ReportingTrack activation performance across markets; analyze ROI and provide regular reporting to the marketing and sales leadership teamsGather and share competitive intelligence, local consumer trends, and distributor feedback to inform brand planningManage field marketing budget with accountability for spend efficiency and business outcomesCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with brand marketing team to localize campaigns and adapt assets for regional relevanceWork with the PR and digital teams to amplify local activations through social media and earned mediaServe as a field ambassador and cultural connector between brand, sales, and trade communitiesQualificationsRequired5+ years of experience in field marketing, brand marketing, or sales in the spirits, beer, or broader beverage alcohol industryDeep knowledge of the American whiskey category — including bourbon, Tennessee whiskey, and rye — and genuine passion for the craftProven track record of executing high-quality consumer and trade events that drive measurable brand resultsStrong relationship-building skills with distributors, trade accounts, and retail partnersAbility to work independently in a field-based environment with a high degree of ownership and self-motivationProficiency in tracking activation performance, analyzing results, and translating insights into actionWillingness to travel extensively within assigned territory (up to 60–70%), including evenings and weekends as required by activation schedulesMust demonstrate computer literacyAt least 21 years of ageValid Driver's LicenseReliable transportationPreferredExperience with premium or craft spirits brands, particularly in the whiskey segmentExisting relationships within the on-premise whiskey community (whiskey bars, cocktail programs, spirits retailers)Experience working with a national spirits company and managing distributor networksWine and/or spirits education credentialWhat We OfferThe opportunity to grow a strategic whiskey portfolio under a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where field insight is genuinely valued at the leadership levelCompetitive base salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits packageCar allowance and expense reimbursement for travel and activation-related costsCareer development opportunities within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial-minded whiskey company
