Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join:

The Growth Marketing team at Airbnb is at the intersection of marketing, engineering and data science. Our work is imperative to driving the top line of the entire company. As Growth Marketing Lead, Metasearch, you will play a critical role in managing and scaling our metasearch program across global markets.  Your work will be critical to driving growth in our community of guests and hosts, with a particular focus on global expansion and new products and services.

The Difference You Will Make:

We are seeking a world-class performance marketer to own and scale Airbnb's metasearch and display programs globally. As part of the Growth Media team, you will manage strategic partnerships with premiere metasearch partners, develop and execute best-in-class programmatic and paid social strategies, and bring a deep technical fluency in feed-based marketing, bidding optimization, and experiment design. The role demands superb attention to detail, a strong analytical foundation, and a track record of driving measurable impact through scalable, biddable media. Success means maximizing the value of our digital media investments end-to-end — from channel strategy to execution to reporting — driving outsized growth for the global Airbnb brand and community.

This role is based remotely in the United Kingdom (with occasional in-person meetings in our London office).

A Typical Day

  • Develop and execute a world-class global performance marketing strategy across metasearch and display channels (programmatic, paid social, and mobile) to exceed growth goals
  • Develop and optimize bidding strategies to maximize revenue and efficiencies through best-in-class strategies
  • Own account management for key metasearch partners, driving outsized growth through optimized placements, CTR improvements, and new partnership initiatives
  • Flawlessly execute against campaign components to maximize efficiency, including technical setup of programs: audience management, creative testing, budget and bidding strategies
  • Maintain a data-driven approach through continual optimization; leverage a strong background in experiment design and evaluation to exceed aggressive growth targets.
  • Lead end-to-end creative brief development and execution, collaborating closely with brand and creative teams to ensure an exceptional, high-quality bar for creative output.
  • Lead selection and execution of regional pilots across both channels.
  • Partner with Leadership and Engineering to ideate on opportunities to improve channel performance, particularly in the AI innovation space.

Your Expertise:

We are seeking an exceptionally high performing growth marketer with the following skills and expertise:

  • 9+ years of experience in Growth Marketing and/or related functions within a consumer-facing, fast-paced ecommerce company, with broad expertise in digital marketing
  • A proven track record of managing performance marketing programs at scale,  including metasearch and/or programmatic/paid social,  for one or more large, global consumer brands
  • Deep understanding of feed-based marketing and the technical architecture underpinning metasearch and display channels
  • Deep understanding of the technical aspects of growth marketing: marketing tech stack and data pipelines, tracking, testing, analytics, etc.  Should be extremely comfortable with Excel (functions, pivots, etc.); proficiency with writing and executing SQL queries is preferred
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborative mindset that allows for deep collaboration with Country leads, Finance, Marketing Tech,  and other stakeholders who may also work with key accounts.
  • Experience working with strong brand guidelines and an eye for high-quality creative execution.
  • Experience working with teams in different regions and a high-level understanding of regional growth opportunities.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of comfort interpreting results and communicating insights effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Exceptional project management and organization skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working with globally distributed teams and a strong understanding of regional growth dynamics
  • Comfort operating across time zones, including availability that overlaps with US Pacific time (PST).
