Position
Overview
The Marketing Manager is the engine of Concert Theatre Works' digital presence. You willcreate systems for holistic planning, tracking, analysis, documentation and reporting, own oursocial media strategy, run digital advertising for every appearance, co-author our monthlynewsletter, manage partner marketing relationships, and steward our media library. You willwork directly with our Video Editor, Artistic Director, Chief Strategy Officer, General Manager,and Graphic Designer — a small, high-trust team that moves fast. Key
Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Act as command center for and execute our social media strategy (2 original posts/weekacross platforms, plus posting 1 CTW-staff generated post), adapting content to platformbest practices and audience behaviour.
Maintain a flexible content calendar that reflects the innovation and artistry of CTW.
Grow our follower base with targets tied to performance increases.
Organise incoming reviews, features, and media into a consistent brand voice.
Actively participate in and cultivate the online communities we are part of.
Manage digital ad campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, and Give Butter to drive reach. Recommend marketing spend per production and touring market.
Monitor and optimize campaigns in real time against aggressive box office targets.
Deliver weekly performance reports on a standard template with targets, updates, andrecommendations.
Email & Audience Cultivation Co-author monthly email newsletters in Mailerlite with the Artistic Director.
Grow our subscriber list and social following through innovative, data-informed strategies.
Partner Liaison & Box Office Liaise monthly — and weekly in the final run-up — with marketing staff at partnerfestivals, orchestras, and venues to coordinate ad spend and drive sales.
Collate box office data from tour venues, tracking Meta Pixel placement and Word Pressanalytics.
Media Assets & Administration Maintain the CTW media library: photos, video, and press materials.
Strategically drive and manage analytics, conversions, ROI and share with leadership forreal time course correction.
Extract and distribute pull quotes from reviews to the full team (approx. twice monthly).
Attend the weekly Monday morning team meeting (approx.
What We’re Looking For Required Proven experience as a marketing leader and social media manager in the arts, with atrack record of growing nonprofit accounts.
Strong command of Meta platforms and paid advertising strategy.
Experience managing digital ad campaigns end-to-end: budgeting, execution, andreporting.
Demonstrated experience with effective use of analytics.
Fluency with AI marketing tools, Canva, Eventbrite, Give Butter, and similar platforms.
Excellent writer — clear, warm, and on-brand.
Highly organised, self-directed, and dependable as a remote team member.
Strongly Preferred Background as a performer or theater-maker — musician, actor, or singer.
Experience in classical music or opera.
Familiarity with international touring and multi-market strategy. Ability to pitch an innovative marketing strategy for a growing nonprofit arts company —this is central to the second interview.
