DescriptionMore customers than ever are choosing to shop for groceries on Amazon — and in Germany, we're starting an exciting new chapter. Amazon is launching Same Day Grocery in Germany, and we're looking for a Trade Planning and Promotions Manager to build the customer promotion plan from the ground up.You'll own the end-to-end trade planning and promotional strategy for Amazon Grocery in Germany — from building the promotional calendar and identifying seasonal customer trends, to developing campaigns that drive purchase frequency, basket size, and new customer acquisition. Collaborate with customer insight teams to identify trends, seasonal behaviours, and opportunities that inform the trade plan and shape promotional strategy. Develop and promotional marketing plans across all customer touchpoints — onsite, outbound, and paid media — and collaborate on execution of trade plans with Growth marketing team (‘Beam marketing’). Partner with UK and other EU promotion managers to share best practices, contribute to the community of learning, and adapt proven mechanics for customers in Germany. Collaborate with finance and vendor management teams to evaluate and optimise promotional investment, ensuring strong return on every euro spent. Create, test, and scale new promotional mechanics that strengthen customer loyalty and differentiate Amazon in the competitive German grocery space. Deliver clear, insight-led reporting to leadership that identifies key trends and proactively recommends actions to improve promotional performance.A day in the lifeNo two days look the same, but here's what you can expect:You'll start by reviewing promotional performance data and customer insight — identifying what's resonating with German grocery shoppers, what's not, and where the next opportunity lies. You'll use these insights to build and refine the trade plan, shaping a promotional calendar that balances seasonal moments, customer trends, and commercial objectives.You'll work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure every promotion featured in customer communications is relevant, compelling, and drives the right behaviours. You'll partner with merchandising teams to execute promotions right first time, and collaborate with finance and vendor managers to ensure strong ROI on every campaign.Because this is a new launch, you'll spend significant time optimising processes, establishing the promotional rhythm, and creating the frameworks that will scale as the business grows. You'll connect regularly with your counterparts in the UK and across Europe, contributing to a community of learning and bringing back ideas to test in Germany.This role suits someone who is energised by building from scratch, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident influencing cross-functional partners without direct authority.
