Paid Media ManagerAre you a freelancer looking to add to your client list? We're looking for fractional work - help with projects on an ongoing basis. Some weeks we may have 25+ hours of work, and other weeks only a few, so it's important you have other clients. This is a long term contract - we are *not* looking for someone who is in-between full-time jobs and looking only for a short term gig.Are you analytical, organized, driven, and resourceful? The Paid Media Manager will be responsible for the setup, management, optimization, and reporting on paid media campaigns as part of our best-in-class digital marketing team that maximize our client’s success. This is a virtual (work-from-home) position; however, working hours must be within Pacific business hours (8-5pm).This role sits at the execution core of our media practice - owning the day-to-day build, in-platform optimization, and performance reporting that keep client campaigns running at their best. The Paid Media Manager will partner closely with senior media strategists and account leads, contributing campaign performance insights and optimization recommendations that shape ongoing strategy and client conversations. Experience supporting pharma, biotech, diagnostics, or other healthcare and life sciences clients is strongly preferred.Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Paid Media Strategy· Build, launch, and manage end-to-end paid media campaigns across paid search, paid social, Google display, and programmatic display, including trafficking, QA, pacing, and in-flight optimization· Own paid search strategy and optimization in Google ads, including account structure, keyword research and expansion, negative keyword management, match type strategy, ad copy and asset testing, quality score diagnostics, and Auction Insights/competitive impression share analysis· Develop and execute paid search bid strategies (manual, target CPA, target ROAS, maximize conversions) and conduct ongoing optimization to improve CTR, conversion rate, CPA, and impression share against client KPIs· Manage paid social campaigns across Meta and LinkedIn, including audience build, creative trafficking, placement strategy, and bid/budget optimization· Activate programmatic campaigns across HCP-endemic platforms including PulsePoint and DeepIntent· Build performance reports and pull insights that clearly communicate what’s working, what isn’t, and what to do next- translating campaign data into a clear narrative for client audiences· Present campaign performance and optimization recommendations in client meetings· Proactively set up tagging and deploy tracking best practices via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics· Drive innovation and implement testing strategies (A/B tests, audience tests, creative tests, landing page tests) to continually uncover optimization levers and improve performance· Analyze traffic trends and improve paid media performance based on the client’s KPIs· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and improve account performance aligned with client goalsQualifications· 4-6 years of hands-on paid media experience, agency side strongly preferred· Deep in-platform experience: candidate should be fluent navigating, building, and optimizing directly in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager· Demonstrated expertise in SEM strategy and Google ads optimization, including hands-on experience with keyword research tools, quality score management, and smart bidding strategies· Hands-on experience with HCP-endemic programmatic platforms (PulsePoint and DeepIntent) and NPI-based targeting· Healthcare, pharma, biotech, or diagnostics experience strongly preferred· Strong analytical skills with the ability to write clear, client-ready insights and translate campaign performance into a compelling narrative· Comfortable presenting campaign performance to clients and articulating the “so what” behind the numbers· Fluency in conversion tracking (GA4, GTM, pixel implementation) and attribution concepts· Excel and Google Sheets fluency; comfortable building pacing trackers and performance dashboards· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneouslyExpected compensation between $50-90/hour depending on expertise and experience.
