From our curated boutiques to our presence in the world's most prestigious wholesale accounts, Assouline provides a world of intellect and good taste.Our Marketing team is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager with deep expertise in wholesale strategy and retail activation. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role owns the commercial marketing relationship between our brand and our global wholesale partners, ensuring that every point of sale reflects the Assouline standard.This is a full-time, in-office position (5 days per week) based in our New York City office.Core ResponsibilitiesWholesale Strategy and Trade Support: Develop and execute trade marketing strategies that drive sell-through across wholesale accounts globally. Build high-impact pitch kits, seasonal sell-in decks, and partner-facing toolkits that communicate the Assouline brand with clarity and authority.Retail Activation: Lead the development of visual merchandising guidelines, in-store programming, and window display initiatives in partnership with retail accounts. Own the brief-to-execution process from concept through installation.Sales Enablement: Produce comprehensive sales training materials and Product Knowledge resources that equip wholesale retail staff to deliver an informed, elevated customer experience.Asset and Content Management: Oversee the organization and distribution of the digital asset library, including high-resolution imagery, brand video, and copy, for use across wholesale partner portals and retail environments.Market and Competitive Intelligence: Monitor the luxury wholesale landscape, track competitor placement strategies, and identify new distribution and partnership opportunities aligned with Assouline's positioning.Performance Reporting: Build detailed recaps measuring the ROI of retail activations, window displays, and wholesale promotions, using sell-through data to inform future planning.Campaign Execution: Lead trade and wholesale marketing across 20+ annual product launches, ensuring consistent brand messaging across B2B channels, boutiques, and e-commerce touchpoints.Cross-Channel Coordination: Partner with the Digital and E-commerce teams to ensure digital initiatives, including email and social, actively drive traffic to wholesale and physical retail locations.Requirements4+ years of experience in trade marketing, wholesale marketing, or retail marketing, with a preference for luxury goods, publishing, or consumer lifestyle brandsDemonstrated track record of managing wholesale accounts and executing trade-facing campaigns from strategy through reportingStrong understanding of the wholesale lifecycle, from product launch and logistics to floor placement and sell-throughAbility to navigate cross-functional operations across Sales, Logistics, and Creative to ensure wholesale orders are supported by the right marketing collateral at the right timeProficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel (pivot tables and data analysis strongly preferred)Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, for the creation of localized trade decks and partner materialsExperience with Klaviyo or comparable email service platforms and content management systemsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to both internal leadership and external retail partnersYou Will Thrive in This Role If You Are:Commercial and Creative: You understand that a beautiful book is a cultural object and you also understand what makes a product move off the shelf.
