*This is NOT an internal role with ForceBrands*Remote (U.S.) | Mountain West Preferred A fast-growing, founder-led consumer wellness brand is seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to own brand strategy, storytelling, community, lifecycle marketing, and the overall consumer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for a builder who thrives in high-growth environments. You'll partner closely with the founders and Growth Marketing leader to shape the brand, drive customer engagement, and ensure every consumer touchpoint feels consistent, compelling, and authentic.We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable developing strategy and executing it. The ideal candidate has experience scaling emerging consumer brands, operates well in lean teams, brings strong opinions backed by data and experience, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done.What You'll OwnLead and evolve brand positioning, voice, messaging, and creative standardsPartner with Growth Marketing to develop and execute full-funnel marketing strategiesOwn organic social strategy, content planning, influencer partnerships, and community engagementDrive lifecycle marketing across email and SMS, including retention, subscription growth, and customer engagementManage creative production across agencies, freelancers, designers, photographers, and content creatorsDevelop compelling brand storytelling across digital, retail, PR, partnerships, and founder contentSupport retail readiness initiatives, including sell sheets, trade marketing, and in-store brand experiencesBuild scalable systems and processes that enable a lean team to execute efficientlyTrack and report on brand health metrics, engagement, retention, and community growthIdeal Background7–12+ years of brand marketing experience within DTC, consumer products, wellness, nutrition, lifestyle, or outdoor brandsExperience building brands in startup, emerging-growth, or founder-led environmentsProven success helping scale consumer brands through strong storytelling and customer engagementExperience leading organic social, community, influencer, and lifecycle marketing initiativesStrong copywriting, creative direction, and brand-building capabilitiesHands-on operator who enjoys both strategy and executionComfortable working on a lean team where no task is beneath you and ownership is expectedExperience managing agencies, creative partners, and cross-functional stakeholdersAbility to confidently present ideas, defend strategic recommendations, and influence key decisionsPassion for wellness, nutrition, outdoor adventure, performance lifestyle, or consumer innovationPreferredExperience with subscription-based businessesRetail brand marketing experienceFamiliarity with AI tools and modern marketing workflowsMountain West residency or strong connection to outdoor culture
