About the role:This is a rare opportunity to shape the brand of a high-growth, venture-backed healthcare company from the ground up. As Senior Director, Brand Marketing, you'll step in with meaningful input into how Accompany Health looks, sounds, and shows up in the world, partnering with executive stakeholders to finalize decisions. You'll set the external brand strategy, sharpen the value proposition for patients and payers alike, and bring it to life through the paid, earned, and content programs you and your team build.The ideal candidate wants to be deep in the work, close to the strategy and execution, with high impact and visibility. You'll build and lead a team of marketers, setting direction and raising the bar for their work, while partnering directly with a highly experienced executive team.The role and team is fully remote. You'll join a distributed group that spans the country while collaborating closely with Product, Design, Growth, and Clinical Operations, plus an external PR agency, to make sure the Accompany Health brand feels consistent and credible everywhere patients, providers, and payers encounter it.Responsibilities will include: Brand Positioning:Shape and implement brand positioning in partnership with the PR agencyDefine and sharpen the value proposition across audiences, including patients and health plansCraft and steward a distinctive visual identity across all audiencesManage the content calendar, including production and implementation, in close collaboration with PR agency - from peer-review manuscripts and conferences to video, carousels, and papersBrand Awareness:Drive paid media strategy across Meta, LinkedIn, and other targeted, regional, and national channelsLead earned media strategy, including PR and socialBuild and maintain the integrated marketing calendar, determining what brand creative runs and whenChannel Development:Manage and elevate owned channels as brand channel, including: corporate website, blog, Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTubeContinually test, iterate, and explore new channelsLifecycle Marketing:Own the work of moving patients from eligible to engaged through onboarding, activation and retention through direct marketing channels (mailers, SMS, outbound calls, digital) Define the messaging strategy that targets patients at each stage of the enrollment journeyDetermine cadence and sequencing of marketing campaigns across direct mail, SMS, and outbound call touchpoints, including fulfillment and executionDirect creative development, including branding and look and feel of marketing materials, across patient education content, Welcome Boxes and folders, and on-site specialist materials — for maximum breakthrough and credibility.Partner with Data Science and Patient Engagement teams to evaluate the effectiveness of patient engagement campaignsMarketing Measurement & Resourcing:Establish marketing measurement, including dashboards and reporting.Manage the marketing budget and its trackingSupport the marketing roadmap, including quarterly resourcing conversations with Product and DesignTeam Management:Directly manage a team of marketers - hiring, developing, and growing the team as the function scalesSet direction and priorities for direct reports, and coach them to raise the bar on their workOther Job Functions:Support the Product and Patient Engagement & Experience teams on member acquisition strategySupport the Provider team on provider material development through a brand strategy lensSupport the Growth team on payer-facing content, such as pitch decks and quarterly payer updatesPerforms other duties as assignedWhat makes you a fit for the team: You're an expert brand practitioner who wants to be hands-on with the strategy and the craft— and you're excited by the room to grow your scope as the company scalesYou move easily between multiple audiences (patients, payers, providers) and can tailor voice, message, and channel to eachYou bring structure to ambiguity, building roadmaps, calendars, and dashboards that keep a fast-moving function organizedYou collaborate naturally with senior leaders and across teams — Product, Design, Growth, and Clinical — as well as with external partners like PR and creative agenciesYou thrive in a remote, distributed environment and can build strong working relationships without being in the same roomYou are motivated by the mission of improving care for patients with complex needs and want your work to have a direct, visible impactDesired skills and experience: Required 5-7+ years of progressive marketing and brand leadership experience, including building/scaling a marketing function, ideally in healthcare, health tech, or another regulated, mission-driven industryTrack record owning brand positioning and narrative end-to-end — strategy through paid, earned, and content execution — with measurable impact on brand awareness and demandExperience running paid and earned media programs (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, PR) and managing external agencies (creative, media, PR)Experience developing content strategy and overseeing production across formats (video, written); comfort building thought leadership programs with clinical/technical SMEs a plusProven people leadership — able to manage, coach, and grow a small team while staying close to execution in a fast-scaling environmentStrong cross-functional collaborator — able to partner with Product, Data Science, Network, and Growth without owning it allExperience owning a marketing budget and reporting on performance/ROIExcellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable across audiences and formatsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent practical experiencePreferred Familiarity with value-based care, health plans, or provider audiencesConsumer marketing backgroundFor Patient Facing RolesTo keep our patients, communities and each other safe, you'll be required to comply with Accompany Health’s medical clearance requirements, including completing a TB screen and providing proof of immunity or vaccination for certain conditions. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
